After the death of assault victim Sumeet Megeri of Tonca, the Panjim police have registered an FIR in the case. The FIR has been filed against Myron Fernandes & unidentified accused for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
It is alleged that Myron Fernandes & his friends had allegedly assaulted the victim Sumeet Megeri outside a restaurant in Miramar. The reason for the alleged assault was that a two-wheeler parked outside a restaurant fell to the ground after Megeri kept his hand on the bike.

Due to the incident, the victim was assaulted by a group. The youth aged 30, sustained head injuries. After about 61 days, Sumeet Megeri succumbed to his injuries. Further investigations are on.
