MARGAO: Cuncolim police have arrested a 64-year old man from Kharebag-Morpila for raping a 10-year old girl on October 18.
The incident took place at about 3 pm when the victim had gone to the field to work.
According to sources at Cuncolim police station, the accused Koldo Velip lured the victim to a small hut near the field and raped her. The victim later in the evening narrated the incident to her mother and a complaint was filed and the accused immediately arrested.
Both the accused and the victim have been sent for medical examination at Goa Medical College, Bambolim. PSI Tukaram Chavan is investigating the case.
