PANJIM: A fine opening stand of 106 between Mohit Redkar and Kanishk Masurkar helped Mahila and Nutan High School Margao to beat Vidhya Vikas Mandal High School, Margao to enter the second round of U-14 Salcete Zone cricket tournament at SAG practice ground, Fatorda. Batting first, Mahila piled up 143 for the loss of two wickets in 20 overs. Mohit Redkar scored 56 with four hits to the fence while Kanisk Masurkar scored 55 with f five fours. For Vidhya Vikas Academy, Jash and Atharv took one wicket each.
In reply, Vidhya Vikas Academy innings collapsed in just 77 runs. Atharv was the only successful batsman scoring 11 runs. For Mahila Nutan, Yash Kantak took three, Mohit Redkar and Aniruddha Bhat two each while Siddharth Kunde took one.
