MARGAO: Margao Municipal Council (MMC) has begun a survey for tax recalculation of ward no 14
The survey began on November 1. MMC notified property holders in the ward that a survey for recalculating the tax would be conducted by Transerve Technologies Pvt Ltd from November 1 to Dec 15.
MMC also said that the Council has provided identity cards to the employees to conduct the survey. The employees of the appointed agencies will be taking measurements of the property with photographs.
MMC has urged the people and property holders to cooperate and provide correct information. The MMC said that this would help to enforce correct tax of the property.
MMC in a council meeting had discussed and resolved to tender the job of mapping the establishments on pilot basis for ward 14. This is the only survey which has been done till date to check on the commercial establishments of the town.
