AMBELIM: Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim grounded Corps of Signals 4-0 in the Goa Professional League match held at Ambelim football ground on Thursday.
SCC Cavelossom dominated with upfront moves through Aaren D’Silva, Joshuah Vaz and later in second half through Daulat Desai while for
Corps Pawan Thakur missed chances with Ozen Vivian guarding the goal line.
Joshua Vaz sent a perfect a corner for SCC Cavelossim in the 12th minute of which Franzel Negredo headed the ball to Aaren D’Silva inside Corps box who slammed a powerful shot to open the account for SCC Cavelossim.
In the 21st minute, Corps should have almost scored through Ankan Dawn but his shot landed into the safe hands of SCC Cavelossim goalkeeper.

In the 41st minute, SCC Cavelossim’s Franzil Negredo’ shot was intentionally handled by Kuldeep Kumar, defender of Corps inside the danger zone and thus without any hesitation match refree, Xavier Clement awarded a penalty to SCC Cavelossim of which Joshuah Vaz converted to double the account for Cavelossim in the 44th minute.
The second half was mostly dominated by SCC Cavelossim with pressure mounted on Corps goalkeeper Ozen Silva who brought in two good saves which came from the boots of Joshuah Vaz and Aaren D’Silva in the 46th and 48th minutes respectively.
Aaren D’Silva made it 3-0 for SCC Cavelossim of Moises D’Sa connect. SCC 74 minutes into the match Gammy Costa recorded his name on the score sheet of SCC Cavelossim to take the final tally 4-0 for Cavelossim.
In another match played at Nagoa ground, Vasco SC defeated Clube Sao Minguel de Taleigao 2-0.
