PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa adjourned the matter in connection with the writ petition regarding the withdrawal of House Building Advance (HBA) Scheme to October 4.
Additional Government Advocate Maria Correia informed Division Bench comprising Justices M Sonak and M S Jawalkar that the State government’s reply will be filed in the registry during the course of the week. Adv Maria added that advance copies of the replies will be furnished to the counsel for the petitioners within two days.

Adv Maria further stated that the reply is ready but on account of change of page size, the same will have to be re-typed, verified and filed.
It may be recalled that several government employees had approached the High Court challenging the State government’s decision to withdraw the HBA Scheme, which was initiated in 1988.
