The game started at a frantic pace in the second half and Dempo SC equalised from a corner in the 70th minute when Dempo SC’s Favio Martins rose highest to head the ball into the back of the net, 2-2.
Minutes later, FC Goa’s custodian Chris was shown a red card for handling the ball outside the box and denying a goal scoring opportunity. The game flowed from end to end as both teams tried to find the winner.
More drama ensued in the final minutes when Guars centreback skipper Asher Rebello rose high to meet a corner and head goal wards only for a Dempo SC defender to handle the ball and deny a goal. He was subsequently shown a red card and a penalty was awarded to FC Goa in the 90th minute.
