PANJIM: Vasco Veterans scrapped past Fatorda Veterans 6-4 via tie-breaker to enter the final of All Goa Veterans football tournament organised by Mix Friends of Santa Cruz, at Santa Cruz ground, on Friday.
The teams were locked 1-1 at the end of regulation time. Presley Pereira gave Vasco Veterans the lead in the 18th minute, only for Fatorda to draw level in the final minute of regulation time through Camilo Monteiro.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Vasco held their nerves, scoring through Shaikh Niaze, Nelson Landez, Agostinho Misquita, Presley Pereira and Roque Pereira. Only Vincent Pereira, Rosario Carvalho and Camilo Monterio were on target for Fatorda.
Vasco will now meet Ilhas Veterans in the final on Sunday.
