PANJIM, AUG 15
While no new cases of swine flu were reported on Saturday, the Department of Health remained on its guard as more people came to Goa this weekend. Screening of people coming to Goa will continue at all check posts, railway stations and airports as more people are expected to come next week as Ganesh Chaturthi vacation starts, told Dr Jose de Sa, Nodal Officer for Swine flu.
Results of the samples sent during last three-four days are expected to receive on Monday. However, Dr de Sa said, they normally, do not wait for results to start treatment. Suspected persons are immediately given full treatment.
Goa has been lucky so far as there were no complicated cases even as number of suspected cases increased this week.
