Murder condemned

PANJIM: Expressing grief over the rape and brutal murder of a fisherwoman at Canacona, the Goa Panchayat Mahila Shakti Abhiyan has demanded that perpetrators of such crimes be given life imprisonment. In their executive committee meeting, the elected women of the Abhiyan expressed grief and shock at the increasing number of atrocities against women. GPMSA chief Nelly Rodrigues said she visited the Canacona PS along with Auda Viegas to express solidarity with the women folk who called on her.
