Dirty beaches, sex, drugs and expensive holidays are major contributors to the deteriorating number of German tourists  visiting  Goa, an official said.
“For Germans, Goa is a more expensive place than Thailand. At the same time, they don’t like garbage problems prevailing here. Not just this, sex and drugs on beaches are also driving them away,” President of the Indo-German Friendship Society Goa (IGFSG) Aurobindo Xavier said at a press briefing today.
He said that the website run by the society (www.igsgr.com) has been receiving articles by German visitors who find the State filthy and have said ‘good-bye-Goa.’ The website is in German.
Xavier, who had studied in Portugal when Goa was liberated from Portugal had traveled to Germany to earn his living and has now made it his home.
