MARGAO: A Quepem resident has demanded the immediate suspension of Quepem mamlatdar for allegedly delaying the mutation of his property.
Luel Fernandes alleged that the Quepem Mamlatdar, Prataprao Gaonkar has delayed his property mutation for a year now and claimed that several such cases are pending in the mamlatdar’s office.
Quepem taluka mostly comprises of forest and remote villages and every person from the remotest village has to visit the Quepem Collectorate for matters pertaining to land and others. But the worthless delay in the official works has spelled trouble for the people of Quepem.
Running out of patience, Luel Fernandes has now decided to speak out and has demanded immediate suspension of Quepem Mamlatdar Prataprao Gaonkar for delaying his mutation process.
He claimed, “This is the same mamlatdar, who has been allegedly involved in the Shirvoi Comunidade land case by providing plots to outsiders and for holding on to the file for a long time, which is unacceptable. My mutation has been held back for a year”.
“I even met the Quepem MLA for helping me to expedite the entire process and wrote to the South Goa Collector to suspend Gaonkar informing him about the entire delay,” Luel informed.
“I had also written to the Chief Minister to take action against the mamlatdar, but none of them have acted in this regard,” Luel added.
