“The examination in subject Bakery and Confectionery (129) (CWSN) is postponed to April 26, 2019 instead of April 22 in view of General Election in the state,” the Board said in a press statement issued.
The SSC examinations across 28 centres that had begun on April 2 were supposed to end on April 22.
The elections for the Lok Sabha and three assembly constituencies are scheduled on April 23, which is declared as public holiday.
Over 19,800 students are appearing for the exams. Earlier, the GBSHSE had said that it would not postpone or advance any exams under any circumstances. However, a source said with the declaration of LS polls, the Boards was forced to make the changes.
