Govt constitutes COVID-19 monitoring & supervisory team

PANJIM: The government on Monday constituted a Monitoring & Supervisory Team to ensure restrictions imposed to fight COVID-19 are strictly enforced in Goa.

“The officers shall be provided with all support by the dy collector/SDM. They shall randomly visit and monitor the jurisdiction allotted to them including the border check posts and railway stations. Violation if any shall be reported to the  authority for taking corrective measures. These measures are in addition to the routine monitoring/supervision by the authorities like Collectorate, Transport, Excise, Police, Tourism, etc,”  reads the order.

The 13 officers are:: Michael D’Souza (Addl Secretary, Housing) – Pernem; Vivek H P (IAS) – Tiswadi; Ankita Anand (Director, IT – IAS) – Bardez; S V Naik (MD, GEDC) – Quepem; Sanjiv Gadkar (SLAO, Mopa Airport) – Bicholim, Dipak Desai (Director-Skill Development and Entrepreneurship) – Canacona; Mahesh Corjuenkar (SLAO, EDC) – Sattari; Dr N Palanikanth (Dy Conservator of Forest, Panjim) – Mormugao; A Jabestin (Dy Conservator of Forest, Panjim) – Ponda; Vijay Paranjpe (Addl Secretary – Protocol) – Salcete, Kuldeep Sharma (Dy Conservator of Forests, North Goa) – Dharbandora; Anisha Kalkoor (Dy Conservator of Forests, Research and Utilisation Division, Margao) – Sanguem; and Shashank Tripathi (Director, Sports &Youth Affairs) – Airport and MPT.
