MARGAO: As cases of COVID-19 in Curtorim and Raia rise, villagers of Curtorim have decided on a partial lockdown to secure the villagers from the spread.
Two more cases were added in Curtorim on Thursday, taking the total count to 10, while five cases were added in Raia taking their tally to seven. Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco said that the first day of partial lockdown of Curtorim was successful and villagers, after a meeting, have decided to intensify the same on Friday to avoid further contamination and infection. “A meeting of villagers was held and a partial lockdown will continue,” Lourenco said.
On Thursday people kept vigil on persons and vendors entering Curtorim and want to intensify their vigil further.
