CALANGUTE: Calangute Police on Monday arrested 23-year-old Manoj Rajan Narayan, a native of Navi Mumbai in connection with the alleged murder of 24-year-old native of Pimpri, Pune, whose body was found in an abandoned house at Baga.
According to Calangute police, the body of a transgender was found in a decomposed state on Sunday. The body was later shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital morgue, Bambolim.

The post-mortem is expected to be conducted on Tuesday.
SP North Utkrisht Prasoon and SDPO Porvorim Edwin Colaco visited the crime scene and interrogated the accused.
SP North congratulated the Calangute Police for solving the case within 24 hours. The accused will be produced before JMFC Mapusa for further remand.
PI Nolasco Raposo is investigating the case.
