CHINCHINIM: Regina Martyrum HS, Assolna pipped Our Lady of Health HS, Cuncolim 1-0 to enter the final of the 1st U-16 UCV School Cup inter-school football tournament organised by Union of Chinchinim Villagers, at Chinchinm Church Ground, on Tuesday.
The lone goal was scored by Shenoy Fernandes in the 21th minute off a pass from Crosley Luis.
In the second semi-final, Our Lady of Rosary HS, Fatorda shot-out Rosary HS, Navelim 6-4 via the tie-breaker.
Rosary HS, Navelim opened the account in the 24th minute through Jabiulla Bankapur.
Post-resumption, Gaurav Bhandari equalised for Our Lady of Rosary HS, Fatorda through a powerful shot.
Rosary scored quickly in the next minute through Jabiulla to take the lead.
Jordan Borges headed the equaliser for Fatorda from a corner-kick.
In the tie-breaker, Beckam Dias, Jordan Borges, Gaurav Bhandari and Praveen Khole scored for Our Lady of Rosary HS, Fatorda while Jabiulla Bankapur and Noah Luis, scored for Rosary HS, Navelim.
