India Beach Fashion Week (IBFW) Season 6 started with a bang at Goa Marriott Resort and Spa, Miramar on Wednesday, November 14. IBFW 2018 is a huge platform for many designers and brands and it witnessed a huge and unique collection of resort and beach wear, along with outfits for destination weddings. CEO & Co – Founder, IBFW – Pallav Ojha Pallav Ojha welcomed the designers to showcase their collections.
The highlight of the day was the opening show, titled ‘Equal Love’ by Anupama Dayal’s show, with the purpose to celebrate the equality of the LGBT community. It was indeed a joyous fashion show, portraying love between all genders equally, giving justice to the show title.
Thereafter, The Marks & Spencer’s show was a hit with models showcasing their sexy and stunning resort & lingerie collection.
It only got better as the day moved on. There was, another mesmerising show – Nikhita Mangeshkar’s collection designed for today’s urban girls with the silhouettes comfortably simple yet edgy and the palate, a mix of pastels and vibrant hues with beautiful floral motifs hand embroidered onto the garments.
Ohaila Khan also showcased her destination wedding outfits, ideal for the grand occasion. It was followed by Gabriella Demetriades’ scintillating resort wear fashion show ‘Deme’ and Eshaa Amiin’s eye-catching show with her resort wear collections titled ‘Tropical Tales’.
‘Mehraab’ by John Marya and Arun Ahuja put up a wonderful collection of celebration and destination wedding outfits for the first time at IBFW.
The most awaited act, was the ‘COMO COLLECTIVE SHOW’ in association with Mud make-up Designory, with the gorgeous collections of brands and designers like Brindisi , Gavin Miguel, Nidhi Munim, Megha Garg , Mohammed Mazhar, and The Natty Garb. Not only did it exceed all expectations, it also portrayed beautiful collection of beach wear and resort wear at IBFW 2018 with the focus to make India more fashionable and trendy.
Day 1 came to a close with The Absolut party, that got together the fashion designers, models and fashion enthusiasts at IBFW.
