CUNCOLIM: Fed up of bearing the pollution caused by units at the Cuncolim Industrial Estate for the last 30 years, some youth have now decided to tackle the problem head on.
A meeting is scheduled on Sunday, October 22 at 10 am near the Industrial Estate gate to discuss what action should be taken and youngsters appear to be quite excited about this.

Ironically, the people who have called for this meeting are supporters of present MLA and Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao who is also expected to be present for the meeting.
But what is important to point out is that Yuri’s father Joaquim Alemao could not rid Cuncolim of these polluting units when he was not only an MLA but even a minister.
Both the leading parties namely the Congress and the BJP have failed miserably in addressing this problem for all these years.
