MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said the wife of COVID Hospital head Dr Edwin Gomes taking recourse to the High Court through a writ petition for relief for her husband from duties was a sad commentary on the state of affairs.
Convenor of AAP Goa, Elvis Gomes said doctors, nurses and multitasking staff were stressed out without sufficient safeguards to their health. Gomes said that there were reports of substandard PPE kits supplied to them. “Wearing substandard kits without shield masks and goggles has caused many to even faint. We demand that the South District Hospital medical superintendent should give daily briefing to allay fears,” Gomes demanded.
