Life is a beautiful rainbow

To the few ignoramus, donning on the apron yielding the dollo, and cooking sannas and sorpotel is not my cuppa…. Perceiving life as a potpourri of laughter and tears, and reminiscing the good old college days and sharing my thought-provoking views with a few like minds tops my menu for the day.
Be it cracking wild jokes evoking raucous peals of laughter or watching ‘Magic in the moonlight’, the crux of life cannot be just unveiled instantly or even in a few years. Three or even four decades might not work their charm to understand the intricacies and nuances of life. Perhaps, with a few streaks of grey in your hair and children tugging at your dress asking for Cadbury, you might still have the ‘I don’t know about life’ feeling.
Your college going kids, modern Juliets and Romeos dress alikes might make ‘asking for pocket money’ a daily routine. As a hardworking dad, you might want to beat it to the confines of your office in the wee hours of morning sweating and relieved at your hasty retreat from your comfy home. Whew! You would say, “This is much better than haggle with my kids or even try the reasoning approach.” As the lady of the house, you might just wish to take a few days break from the maddening demands of your teenage kids. From “I want a new bike” to “I need a tablet for my project work” demands, patience and discipline should be every parent’s mantra for dealing with their kids.
A few years down the lane, your children are quite content dating and passing exams simultaneously. Whoa! Quite a handful! Three years later, you see them married to their beaus making babies and learning the ways of the world. You watch with great amusement as the same life cycle unfolds before you. You may reflect and smile to yourself, “They sure are going to have a rough time rearing their little angelic brats. Let’s wait and watch the fun!”
Troublesome teens! Teasing twenties! Tantalizing thirties!  Flowing forties!  Formidable fifties!  Slow sixties! Life in all its hues, has a distinctive charm of its own. From being the mischievous black sheep of the family to having a brood of your own – four equally mischievous brats to match you in your youthful days, life has much to offer. A platter of candlelight dinners, bundles of joy, loud guffaws, poor promotions, farewell parties, teary goodbyes…
