CALANGUTE: A 28-year-old mother of four children, including an infant, allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the sea near the River Princess site at Candolim on Tuesday.
The deceased, Valankanni Braganza of Naikka Vaddo, Calangute, had reportedly left her house in the morning for Mass in the Church.
According to Calangute Police, the lifeguards noticed the body floating in the sea and informed the Calangute Police. The body was later brought to the shore by the police with the help of lifeguards. The body has been preserved at GMC hospital in Bambolim. PSI Shrikant Pednekar is investigating.
