PANJIM: At least 20 of the total officers, promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) earlier this year and awaiting posting have been assigned new charge.
The Goa Police on Wednesday effected transfers of 32 DySPs including the 20 promotees awaiting posting.

Jivba Dalvi has replaced Uday Parab in Mapusa town with the latter posted at Goa Reserve Police A & C Coy. Sidhant Shirodkar is the new SDPO (Pernem), Sudesh Naik has been given the charge of SDPO (Panjim), Rajesh Kumar — SDPO (Vasco), Nilesh Rane – SDPO (Quepem), Nutan Vernekar — (FRRO), Maria Monseratte — (AHTU) and shall hold the charge of Women Police Station and DySP (Election Cell) while Nerlon Albuquerque is the new DySP (ANC), Sandesh Chodankar — SDPO (Canacona), Braz Menezes — DySP(HQ/North), Suraj Halarnkar — (Crime-II) and Shivendu Bhushan — SDPO (Margao) and shall hold additional charge (Cyber Crime).
