ANJUNA: In an effort to enhance security measures, the Anjuna police conducted a tenant verification drive within its jurisdiction, focusing on rented rooms in the Siolim area. This initiative aimed to ensure that tenants occupying rooms had undergone proper police verification and documentation.
During the drive, approximately 200 individuals were checked, and 25 people were apprehended for occupying rented rooms without completing the required police verification process. Of these, 11 individuals were found to be without the necessary documentation and were subsequently booked under the relevant provisions of the law.

“Anjuna police appeals to all citizens to submit their tenant verification forms immediately for necessary security measures,” said PI Prashal P. N. Dessai of Anjuna police, who led the drive, which included the participation of PSI Sahil Warang and other beat staff members from the station. The operation was conducted under the overall supervision of Jivba Dalvi, SDPO Mapusa, and Nidhin Valsan IPS, the Superintendent of Police (North) based in Porvorim.
