Erin says: (On her blogging experience till now): I have been
blogging since 2010 but turned it into my full-time career only a year and a
half ago. The experience has been good, busy, with a lot of travelling. I was a
teacher before. So I could only travel certain times of the year. Since I have
started blogging full time, I have been able to travel a lot and work with
different companies, which has been really rewarding.
(On her experience in Goa): I try not to travel
with expectations and to allow the place I am visiting to make its impression
on me. Goa is very different from the rest of India that I have explored, in a
good way, but in a way that I almost have to get used to. I am a vegetarian so
it is weird to go from Rishikesh where all the food options are only
vegetarian, to seafood and meat – not in a bad way but in an interesting way.
It is not like your typical India here. I love the architecture, the people
that I have met so far, the culture, etc. I could live here forever.

Kirsten says: (On her blogging experience till now): I have been a
photographer for almost 20 years. I started off as a wedding and portrait photographer
but later switched to travel in my late 20s. I have been blogging about travel
for almost a decade . My specialty is what I like to call ‘luxury experiential
travel’. There is always a luxury element to what I do but there also needs to
be authenticity and experiences that are not touristy but that have a very
authentic element of culture to them.
(On her experience in Goa): Before I came to
Goa, I had heard of Goa as a place that is an under-appreciated part of India.
When I did a little bit of research, without doing too much because I did not
want to spoil it for myself, all I came across were stories about beaches, yoga
and the Bohemian lifestyle in Goa. What I found out after coming here is that
all that exists and there is great infrastructure for that but there’s so much
more; it has been a real privilege to discover the ‘more’ because I like to
focus my career on the things that are not as clichéd, not as discovered. So I
want to help discover the things that aren’t as publicised and there’s a lot of
potential for that in Goa.

to travel a lot with my parents when I was young and I swore when I was a
teenager that I would continue travelling. I specialise in blogging about
luxury travel. I launched by blog in 2010 when I was studying fashion in
London. My followers want to know my point of view with regard to hotels, the
destinations, people, etc.
(On her experience in
Goa):
I discovered Goa through films when I was young. Almost everyone
shows the stereotypical side of Goa, which is a part of Goa but definitely not
the only part. The first day I arrived in Goa, I could feel the ‘wild’ aspect
of this place, and I hope that it doesn’t change because it is a part of Goan
heritage. I was impressed and amazed by the fantastic heritage that Goa has to
offer in terms of houses and it has far superseded my expectations of this
place. I think Goa has a lot of other things to show apart from the beaches.
The nature is incredible, the monuments, the culture, the village… I really
want to show that to my followers.
