MARGAO: Tuesday's incident wherein 11 fishermen were rescued after their motorised canoe capsized off Mobor coast has once again brought to the fore the rampant violation of the mandatory life-saving provisions by crew members, especially not wearing life jackets before venturing out in the sea. Authorities too have been unsuccessful in cracking a whip against the violators.
