FATORDA: Nuvem Veterans got the better of Rachol Veterans 1-0 to move into the quarter-finals in the 1st all-Goa Veterans Football, played at Don Bosco ground, Fatorda, on Friday.
Rachol’s Diego Cardozo should have netted but was brilliantly saved by Nuvem keeper in the 2nd minute. Nevidade Colaco netted the match winner for Nuvem with a snap shot off Remedious Coutinho connect in the 14th minute.
Peter Oliveira and Artistedes Vaz missed chances for Rachol in the 23rd and 26th minute respectively. Nuvem missed chances through Socorro and Francis Colaco in the 30th and 35th minute.
