The French chemist from Institute of Supramolecular Science and Engineering, University of Strasbourg in France was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1987. The lecture at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium will be held on February 20 at 11 am.
“The indoor stadium has been chosen as the venue with a view to ensure that students from affiliated colleges (and also from higher secondary schools) can attend the lecture,” Goa University Registrar V P Kamat said in a press statement requesting all heads of departments and principals of affiliated colleges of Goa University to encourage students to participate in the event.
Molecular chemistry has developed a very powerful set of methods for constructing more complex molecules. Supramolecular chemistry seeks to control the formation of molecular assemblies by means of the interactions between the partners.
Conceptual considerations on chemistry and science in general will be presented during the talk.
