New classes proposed in govt schools

PANJIM: The State government has proposed adding new
classes to government schools and higher secondaries and has drafted rules for
amendments to the Goa, Daman and Diu School Education
Rules 1986.

The draft rules have been kept open for suggestions and objections
for 15 days from the issuance of the notification on Thursday.

“The government makes the following rules so as to further amend
the Goa, Daman and Diu School Education Rules, 1986, such as these rules may be
called the Goa School Education (Amendment) Rules, 2015, and amendment of rule
162 on the opening of new classes in schools,” it says.
