PANJIM: Dempo were bundled out for 146 by Geno on day 1 Goa Premier League final held at Goa Cricket Academy, Porvorim, on Sunday.
Dempo won the toss and elected to bat. Aditya Suryavanshi and Yash Porob opened the batting for Dempo. Yash was sent back to the pavilion for just 3 runs by Vikas Mishra. Aditya scored 26 off 40 balls before being bowled by Saurabh Bandekar. Robin D’Souza remained un beaten on 39 off 30 balls. The Geno bowlers put up a fine display as they picked up wickets at regular intervals as Vikas Mishra scalped 6 wickets while Saurabh Bandekar picked up 3 wickets.
In reply, Geno scored 146 for 9. Sangram Atitikar and Prathamesh Gawas opened the batting for Geno. They suffered an early set-back as Prathmesh departed for just 5 runs. Sangram scored 64 off 114 balls before he was clean bowled by Darshan Misal. None of the batmsen got going as the Dempo bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals to restrict them as Vinay Choudhary and and Darshan Misal scalped four wickets each.At stumps, Manthan (32) was at the crease.
