They added that the preparation of food involved used of food colours, dirty water and they did not use gloves. The MMC officials had warned the vendors to take permits from FDA or cease operations at the zatrotsav. The municipal workers confiscated the food items on Sunday evening.
MMC workers who were involved in the operations of confiscation told media that the vendors were already warned that they should close their stalls if they had not FDA permits, but they did not listen. We have been warning them over the last two or three days. But they wouldn’t listen, hence we were forced to take the harsh action.
