PANJIM: Newly-inducted Minister Nilesh Cabral got the Power Department while Milind Naik has been allocated Urban Development.
In an order issued by Additional Secretary (GA) Amarsen Rane, the portfolios of all other ministers remain unchanged.
Cabral, a first time Minister, also gets Non-conventional Energy, Law and Judiciary and Legislative Affairs.
On the other hand, Naik, who handled the Power Department earlier, will handle Urban Development, Social Welfare and Provedoria.
Urban Development, Law and Judiciary and Legislative Affairs were earlier handled by Francis D’Souza, while Power, Social Welfare and others were with Pandurang Madkaikar.
Sources reveal that there is no clarity as by when Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will distribute his portfolios to the Ministers. “It could be either on Tuesday morning or after a fortnight,” sources said.
