Danger on Sucaldem road

Locals from Velim constituency are upset about the danger the work on the culvert on the road from Sucaldem to Assolna poses to the public and have called for better safety measures. The main concern is that there are no indicators at night or street lights or larger barricades that can warn people in an acceptable manner that the middle of the road is being dug.
Currently there are a few barrels on either side of the road while part of the road is not motorable due to the ongoing work on the culvert. In the rains, that particular stretch is dangerous and vehicles from both sides of the road are forced to use only one side of the road.
The locals who use this road to proceed towards Assolna and onwards are also concerned with the few accidents that have occurred at the site and have criticised the authorities for failing to heed to appeals made in the past to ensure there is better safety measures at the road.
Locals also feel that the road work could have been planned better given the intervening monsoons as it has inconvenienced the locals especially during the rains and at night.
