The busy Santa Cruz bypass road to Panjim has been infested with roadside electric poles. This fact has been brought up on Citizen Herald before. A few days back an Innova car smashed on a electric pole head on virtually taking the electric pole down along with its live wires risking electrocution and instant death of its occupants.
Concerned authorities have not bothered to shift the poles after road widening. Many of these poles are virtually standing on the road. Vehicles passing by risk accidents and a head-on collision due to these poles. Photos show the impact of this accident and also the poles on the road just waiting for a vehicle to crash on it.
