SERAULIM: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda got the better of St Rock Youth Club, Majorda 3-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Village Panchayat Seraulim Cup, in memory of late Ligorio Gomes and organised by United Sports Club Seraulim, at Seraulim ground, on Wednesday.
Christopher Borges of Don Bosco netted the first goal with a downward header of Velito D’Souza cross in the 12th minute.
Don Bosco further inflated the lead through Melvin Furtado’s placement shot. Christopher Borges added his name on to the score sheet to make it 3-0 in the 24th minute for Don Bosco. Just few minutes left for the final whistle a defence lapse cost Don Bosco as Floyd Fernandes scored the consolation for St Rock.
