MARGAO: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Luizinho Faleiro reiterated that his charges against the BJP-led state government were based on the RBI panchanama and not his own findings.
He stated that he felt vindicated and his purpose of initiating a public debate on the handling of the State economy had started.
Faleiro further said he had released details from the RBI report on Goa’s economy and that the State was suffering the pangs of the government’s inept fiscal policy decisions. He criticised the government for misguiding the people through populist schemes like Laadli Laxmi and Griha Aadhar.
He added that if the government wanted to hold a discussion on its functioning, it should include all stakeholders, like the captains of Goan industries, the GCCI, the CII and members of the travel and tourism business in Goa.
