CANACONA: Mandovi Boys defeated Friends XI by 7 wickets to lift the PYC Rolling trophy in the all-Goa Tennis ball cricket tournament organised by PYC Sports Club Patnem at Talpona ground, on Friday.
Friends XI batted first and scored 73 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in allotted 8 overs.
In reply, Mandovi boys chased down the target with 2 overs to spare.
Dayesh Bhatikar from the Mandovi boys received the Man-of-the-match.
The winners were awarded Rs 51,111 with the rolling trophy while the runners-up received Rs 21,111 along with a trophy.
The best batsman of the tournament was awarded to Dayesh Bhatikar from Mandovi Boys.
Best bowler was awarded to Sidharth Naik from Friends XI.
Man of the series was given to Ganesh Kubal from Friends XI.
