MARGAO: Did Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar “resigned and advised” or “advised and resigned” from the Govansh Raksha Manch on the beef episode haunting the BJP-led government?
Independent MLA Vijai Sardesai on Thursday cautioned the people of Goa to be doubly careful, especially as the double speak and scheming nature of the chief minister has been exposed on the issue of animal slaughter.
He said while the ban on slaughter was a result of the petition filed by the NGO, Parrikar has been exposed as he was chairman of the Advisory Committee of the same trust. “While Parrikar claims that he has resigned from the post, it would be interesting to know whether he “advised and resigned” or “resigned and advised,” added Sardesai.
Pointing out that one of the first actions of the new Karnatka CM was to reverse the ban on cow slaughter proposed by the previous BJP government, he said it is clear that ban on cow slaughter is standard BP agenda, proving that Parrikar’s posturing in this matter is nothing, but a fraud.
