BICHOLIM: Bicholim MLA and Speaker Rajesh Patnekar on Sunday stated that the government has proposed a new Industrial Estate at Latambarcem as there is very less scope for the extension of present industrial estate, here.

Patnekar disclosed this when asked as to why there is a need for a new industrial estate when already existing industrial estate in Bicholim is not working properly.
“The work of the new industrial estate at Latambarcem is going on and there is a delay because of conversation of land process. We need a new industrial estate as the Industrial Promotion Board is getting many proposals for setting up industries and the existing land is not enough and cannot be expanded,” Patnekar said.
He hoped that they will get all the approvals soon and the new industries will be established in Bicholim in near future.
