In a major upset, Hauxi Bandh prevailed over Odxel SC 2-1 to move into the semi-finals of the all Goa Rich Builders volleyball tournament at Crown Club Court, Santa Cruz.
All the three sets were keenly fought. However, Hauxi managed to come top in the first and the last set to score a 26-24, 23-25, 25-23 win.
Pappu emerged the star player for Hauxi while Paulo was at his best for Odxel.
Hauxi Bandh will now meet hosts Crown Club in the semi-finals on January 23.
