CHICALIM: Salgaocar Football Club Juniors hammered Chicalim Sports Club 6-0 in the Goa Football Association’s Second Division football league match (Mormugao zone), at Chicalim ground, on Tuesday. Salgaocar FC Juniors were leading 3-0 in the first half.
Salgaocar FC Juniors scored three goals in each half. They opened the floodgates in the 16th minute as Naro Shrestha finished with a fierce strike.
Subsequently, they carried on the momentum and doubled their advantage in the 19th minute as Desmond Soares finished neatly.
Just before the half hour mar, Naro Shrestha secured his brace in the 26th minute.
Chicalim SC had a go before the break in their attempt to crawl back into the match but Noel D’Mello could not finish.
Change of ends saw Salgaocar FC Juniors pump in three more goals as Stephen Fernandes joined the party with the fourth goal in the 69th minute.
Naro Shrestha secured his hat-trick in the 81st minute and went on to score his fourth goal of the evening in the 88th minute.
