The number of crimes is increasing in the state. Now Porvorim Police have arrested one person for snatching the mobile phone of a foreigner at Pilerne, Bardez Goa. Novikov Sarge, native of Israel had lodged his complaint that on 18 April 2023 while he was travelling from Pilerne to Betim one person on a Dio scooter snatched his phone worth Rs. 1.2 lakh from his wife’s hand
Based on the complaint police registered FIR under section 356,379 IPC and conducted an investigation. Through technical surveillance and reliable information, police Friday arrested one Taufik Shaikh, age 19 yrs R/o Paithona, Bardez Goa. The stolen mobile has also been recovered from the accused person.
