The newly launched ISL tournament has indeed proved to be a big boon for all our young Indian footballers as it has given them the rightful opportunity for the very first time to improve their own individual skills playing with some of the best footballers from around the world and to finally become real famous in India. Our Indian footballers are finally getting their due/recognition due to the ISL tournament and that is something great.
This tournament has indeed shown that we have so many good football players in India and who can really play with the same kind of speed, energy and stamina just like the foreign players. This tournament has already gone to show the might of our own super-fit Indian players like Romeo Fernandes, Mandar Rao Dessai, Narainan, Sandesh Jingham, Lenny Rodrigues, Milagres Gonsalves etc. Now, who says that there are no good world-class football players and no following for this sport in India besides cricket?
It’s nice to see the Indian crowd finally coming out in large numbers in huge stadiums to watch football matches and encouraging these real hardworking Indian players after a very long time by cheering them. I think that the success of this ongoing tournament should definitely serve as an eye opener for all those who have been under-estimating the popularity of football and its presence in India for years.
One thing is for certain and that is this newly launched ISL will definitely go to do wonders for Indian football as it will go to encourage more youngsters to take up this world’s most popular sport in a big way in India and take it to greater heights in the years to come. Plus, this great tournament will also go to discover new talent from different states and improve the quality of this wonderful game one’s for all in India.
Full marks to the main organizers, cricketers, bollywood celebrities for taking a huge risk and going ahead with the ISL tournament to really promote football in a big way inspite of facing so many obstacles from some self-styled legendry promoters supporting mediocre of this game in India.
