VALPOI: The Satodem villagers from Valpoi constituency are demanding widening of village main bridge for the past many years, since it is narrow and small and creating problems for four wheelers and heavy vehicles. The panchayat and local MLA has failed to develop the Satodem village, say villagers.

Satodem village comes under the Nagargao village panchayat jurisdiction and the village is very close to the Valpoi town. However, the local panchayat and local MLA have kept this village backward and undeveloped for the past many years, say locals.
Villagers have raised the issues of bad road, congested bridge and power supply problem in the local gram sabha many times. “Every time the panchayat is giving us only assurances but in reality they are not doing anything. The local MLA is getting elected again and again only with power of money and nothing else,” said villagers.
“We demand Government to widen the village bridge and hot-mix our village roads. Many accidents had occurred due to the bad road condition,” say villagers.
