VILLA-MAREX-CHANDOR: Karan FC Goa beat Sun Moon & Star by a solitary goal to move into the quarter-finals of the 16th All Goa Open Seamen football tournament organised by Villa Marex Boys of Chandor, played at Villa Marex ground, Chandor, on Monday.
The all important goal of the match for Karan FC Goa was scored by Prisco in the 35th minute.
Sun Moon & Star tried their level best to equalise but the defence wall of Karan FC guarded the slender lead till the end of the match.
Karan FC will now meet the winner of Navelim and Signal in the quarter-finals on September 6.
