DMG has identified 1.87 million tonnes of ore, stacked at 51 plots with ore grade varying from 43 Fe content to 63 Fe content. The ore is stacked at mining sites of Codli, Sirigao, Patiem, Mormugao Port Trust (MPT), Vagus jetty and at beneficiary plants. In a bid to attract more participation, DMG has slashed the minimum earnest money deposit (EMD) to Rs 1 lakh for bidding up to 5000 metric tonnes from the earlier Rs 25 lakh for up to 1,000 metric tonnes of ore.
