PANJIM: The body of an unidentified man was discovered near the old bridge at Patto in the city on Tuesday. The body was noticed around 3:30 PM by locals, who informed the police.
A team from the Panjim Police rushed to the scene and conducted an investigation. The body was retrieved and sent to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Bambolim for post-mortem.

According to the police, the body appeared to be that of an unidentified person approximately 45 years old. A case of unnatural death was registered, said the police.
