MATHOL-VERNA: Povosao Boys edged past Bamborda 2-1 to move into the final of Lazaro D’Silva and Caje Fernandes memorial inter-ward football tournament, at Mathol football ground, Verna, on Friday.
Povosao Boys took an early lead through Jogan Da Silva in the third minute with a powerful shot from outside the box of Bamborda.
Bamborda fought back and equalised through Romario Da Costa who dribbled past two Povosao defenders and finished in the 15th minute.
In the second half, Povosao Boys doubled their lead through Vilroy Fernandes in 35th minute.
Bamborda tried hard for the equaliser but Povosao goalkeeper Pragag came up with good saves to take Povosao Boys into the final.
Povosao boys now clash with Ambulor in the final on April 28.
