CURTORIM: Youth of Piedadegal downed Dando FC 4 – 2 to move into the quarter-finals of the 2nd Curtorim inter-ward 9-a-side football tournament organised by Cumborda SC at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Sunday.
In the fifth minute, Piedadegal striker Minguel missed an easy chance to give his team the lead but he shot wide.
In the 10th minute, Piedadegal took the lead through Cajie Bhogot’s superb finish who lofted the ball over the Dando goalkeeper. Minguel made it 2-0 for Piedadegal in the 18th minute.
Post resumption, Dando reduced the lead when Maldin Rodrigues scored from a deflected ball in the Piedadegal defence in the 25th minute.
In the 30th minute, Aliston made 3-1 for Piedadegal with a superb finish. Five minutes later, Sihern Rodrigues scored from the spot for Dando to make it 3-2.
In the 38th minute, Alito scored for Piedadegal to take the final score-line to 4-2.
