Reeling from a paper leak just at the start of the New Year, the Goa University on Wednesday constituted its second committee to investigate the matter further thoroughly and submit a report within a period of ten days starting from Wednesday.
Officiating Registrar M Shreedhara said the preliminary report of the first committee was placed before the Board of Evaluation on Wednesday in accordance with the provisions of the varsity’s Ordinance (OA-5.2.1) for further action into the issue.
The second committee, which will specifically carry out the investigation into the whole episode, consists of three deans namely Dr M Pinheiro (Faculty of Law) Prof Pradeep Naik (Faculty of Medicine) and Prof E DeSa (Faculty of Natural Sciences).
The leakage of two papers of General Medicine was exposed by Herald after which the authorities moved in the matter confirming the mischief. Sources said the preliminary report just confirmed the leakage and had not pinpointed suspects.
The first committee had submitted its preliminary report to the Registrar on Tuesday after which both the leaked papers were declared null and avoid and fresh dates (January 13 and 14) were set for re-exam.
